eID Project Macao Wins Prestigious Regional Award

The Macao SAR Resident Identity Card has been awarded "Regional ID Document of the Year". This award promotes the best in security printing, system infrastructure and implementation of a government passport, identity or other security card scheme. Reconnaissance, the organisers of High Security Printing Asia, revealed the 2015 winners of the Regional ID Document of the Year at a special ceremony during the conference in Jakarta, Indonesia on 8 December 2015. The award judges comprised the Board of Directors of Reconnaissance International, the conference organiser and publisher of ID & Secure Document News. Nominations were sought from the high security printing community.

The eID solution has been delivered by German identity solutions provider Veridos. This month, the Macao SAR Resident Identity Card had also received the Radiant Service Award.
